Mental Health and Resilience for Therapy Practitioners

During this workshop therapy practitioners will learn about how to safeguard their own Mental Health and how to boost their Mental, Physical, Social and Spiritual Resilience. Dr Chloe will share ideas, reflections, guidance and professional advice on how to cope with the existential impact of encountering clients’ suffering daily, how to recognise signs of professional and personal burnout and will encourage discussion around coping with uncertainty, limits and the pressures of being a therapy professional, as well as the risks of shutting down. Dr Chloe will highlight what steps therapists can take to positively bolster their personal and professional resilience and will encourage participants to recognise what support they need to receive to help them cope with professional tensions, what it means to have good supervision, and what self care plans can be actioned to help therapists thrive and reach their personal and professional potential.
Dr Chloe Paidoussis Mitchell, is an Existential Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a background in Organisational Psychology and Coaching. She has been working in this field for more than 20 years now and works as an Existential Psychologist and a Resilience Coach in the business world and in private practice. She has a popular Mental Health blog www.dr-chloe.com to help people safeguard their Mental Health and has contributed to the Existential Paradigm with her work and clinical approach om the Four Worlds Model for Traumatic Loss and Grief. She is a public speaker and teaches at NSPC on all programs, as well as runs clinical supervision groups and supervises doctoral candidates.
